Appeal from a judgment of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut (Ellen Bree Burns, Judge), entered following a jury verdict in plaintiffs favor on her claim that she was unlawfully discharged on account of age. Plaintiff appeals in No. 98-7776, arguing that the district court erred in (1) instructing the jury that it could not award plaintiff back-pay damages for the period after April 1, 1996, when the department in which plaintiff had worked underwent a reduction in force, (2) refusing also on the basis of the April 1, 1996 reduction in force to award plaintiff either reinstatement or post-judgment damages known as "front pay," and (3) failing to order the restoration of plaintiffs accrued pension credits.
